1. DEFINITIONS & INTERPRETATION
In the Terms & Conditions the following definitions apply:
- Company means The White Door Yoga B.V. (trading as The White Door Studio)
- Student means any person that has ticked the Waiver box when creating an account
- Member means any person that has an active 10 class pass or membership
- Studio means The White Door Studio located at the Visseringstraat 39H, Amsterdam
- Website means www.thewhitedoorstudio.nl
- Terms & Conditions as defined here
The Terms & Conditions are incorporated into the online booking system and have to be accepted before any purchase can be made.
The Company reserves the right to vary or revoke any of the Terms & Conditions from time to time. This is done when it considers it necessary or suitable for the regulation of the governance of the Studio & the conduct of Students. Any such changes will be published on our websites &, until revoked, are binding on Students.
The Terms & Conditions shall be governed by the laws of The Netherlands & subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch courts.
The Company reserves the right to withdraw, suspend or refuse to renew the account (and membership if applicable) of any Student whose conduct amounts to a breach of the Terms & Conditions or where such expulsion is otherwise to be in the interests of the other Students of the Studio. Any Student so expelled shall forfeit all privileges & shall not be entitled to any refund for any period during which his account is suspended.
The Studio may run promotional introductory offers from time to time. These offers are exclusively for new Students who are not already registered Students with the Studio & are not for repeat use.
3. BOOKING AND CANCELATION POLICY FOR CLASSES
Our Online Booking Systems works as follows:
- Classes can be booked online up to 4 weeks in advance
- When a class is full you can add yourself to the waitlist
- On the waitlist you will automatically be allocated a spot in the class once available
- When a spot is allocated our booking system will email you a notification
- The door closes 2 minutes prior to the start of the class
- If you’re not in in time you will be seen as a “No Show” as stated in 3.4
Early Cancels – If you cancel more than 4 hours before the start of class there is no fee applied. You will receive back your credit towards a future class based on availability & similar cost.
Late Cancels – If you cancel within 4 hours of the class start time, you will be charged the full fee. If you booked with a single class pass, class pass or weekly membership you will lose a credit. If you booked with an unlimited membership you will be charged €10,- from the second time you forget to cancel in time.
No Show – If you don’t cancel and you don’t show up for a class in time, you will be charged the full fee. If you booked with a single class pass, class pass or weekly membership you will lose a credit. If you booked with an unlimited membership you will be charged €10,- from the second time you forget to cancel in time.
4. PAYMENT TERMS
Prices of single classes, class passes, memberships, workshops and other programs are available on our website and can be changed by the Company.
Payments for classes, workshops or programs at the Studio do not entitle you to attend classes, workshops or programs of any other Studio.
Subject to any statutory right of cancellation, payments for classes, class passes, monthly payment fees, annual payment fees, workshop tickets and tickets for other programs are non-refundable
All of the following purchases cannot be transferred to or shared with another person: Single class pass, class passes and memberships.
All of the following purchases can be transferred to another person: Workshop tickets and other program tickets. Always contact the Studio when a ticket is being transferred.
5. AUTOPAY FOR MEMBERSHIPS
The provisions of this clause 5 only applies to Members that subscribe to a membership with periodical fees.
Members are given at least 30 working days’ notice of any price increase in their periodical membership fees unless otherwise agreed upon in their contract.
Members who do not wish to accept a change proposed by the Company to the Terms & Conditions or to pay an increase in any membership fees can cancel their membership.
Members can cancel their membership at any time unless otherwise agreed in their contract. A membership has to be cancelled by yourself in your online account, taking into account a 10 days’ notice before the next renewal date.
Members can pause their membership for a period of at least 21 days. This has to be communicated via email to firstname.lastname@example.org at least 10 days prior to the first day of the pausing date.
6. STUDIO OPENING TIMES
Details of class times at the Studio may vary from time to time. Class times will be published by the Studio on our Website. The Studio is open at least 20 minutes before and after class.
7. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
Personal belongings are brought into the Studio premises at the Student’s risk & the Company does not accept liability for any loss or damage whatsoever to such items.
8. DRESS & FOOTWEAR
Students are requested to dress appropriate to the practice of Yoga, Pilates and all other Classes, Workshops and Programs held at the studio. Footwear should be removed on entry to the premises & left in the lounge.
9. USE OF FACILITIES
A Student is entitled to use the Studio’s facilities 20 minutes before and after a class. The Studio may at any time withdraw all or part of its facilities for any period or periods. This is done with notice, where practicable, in connection with any leaning, repair, alteration or maintenance work or for reasons beyond the control of the Studio or the Company.
Children under the age of 16 may only use the Studio & attend classes if accompanied by an adult & when under their care & supervision. However, the Studio reserves the right of refusal for any minor to practice according to clause
10. FITNESS & HEALTH
Students are advised not to undertake strenuous physical activities without first seeking medical advice if they have concerns over their physical condition. The Studio reserves the right to refuse access to any Student if, in its absolute discretion, it considers that the health of the individual concerned may be endangered.
Students must notify the Studio of any circumstances affecting their health which may be exacerbated through continued practice.
Students are required to follow the instructions of the teacher at all times unless their doctor has stated otherwise.
11. SAFETY & HYGIENE
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the studio or within 2 meters from the entrance.
In the case of foot complaints, do not walk around the Studio, changing rooms or showers barefoot (please wear flipflops).
In the event of a fire, Students are asked to make their way to the nearest available exit.
12. GENERAL GUIDELINES
A Student must at all times observe the Studio guidelines which may be notified to them from time to time & are requested to comply with any reasonable directions which the management of the Studio may issue to ensure the smooth operation of the Studio for the convenience of all Students.
The Company will communicate with the Student by email. The email address that’s provided when creating an account will be used. By providing an email address to the Company the Student consents to receiving email communications from the Company, including notices pursuant to the Terms & Conditions. The Student also accepts any risk that email may not be a fully secure & confidential means of communication. The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered as a result of communicating with a Student in this manner.
A Student is required to update the Company of any change of email. Failing such notice, all communications shall be assumed to have been received by the Student within 5 days of mailing to the last address notified to the Company.
13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
The Company cannot be held responsible for any service or equipment not being available for whatever reason. The Company reserves the right to make alterations to the types of facilities provided, without notice & in its absolute discretion & the Company shall not be liable for any loss occasioned by such alterations except in so far as loss is by law incapable of exclusion.
It is the Student’s responsibility to ensure that they are capable of undergoing a routine of exercises provided by any programme that they follow or class or workshop that they attend. Students accept the risk of injury from performing exercises & are advised to consult their doctor prior to beginning any class, workshop or program. The Company accepts no liability for loss or damage to property or injury of Students to them on the Studio premises or outside the Studio except in so far as such loss, damage, or injury is by law incapable of exclusion.

Information published on this website is provided for the use of its visitors & you are advised that, although care has been taken to ensure technical & factual accuracy, some errors may occur.
