Sarah Distel’s career is a journey of finding perfection through imperfection.

Through her studies at the ‘Willem de Kooning Academy’  – where she specialized in Lifestyle & Design and photography – she learned how to engage her keen eye for details in a way that goes hand-in-hand with her artistic sensitivity.

To create a space, drenched in light, where like-minded spirits can meet to connect through carefully curated yoga classes, creative lessons and cooking sessions or to spark art from scratch, has been a lifelong dream of hers.

To her, The White Door Studio is a bright space where luminous bliss isn’t just a state of mind but a state of ‘being’.  Triggering creation while making room for reflection. Sarah’s devotion to her craft and her appreciation for items with a story, a soul, reflects through every aesthetical detail in the Studio, making it her home away from home.

•Specialized in: concept design, commercial lifestyle photography, product photography, content creation, set dressing, interior styling, food photography and food styling.

•Energised by? Giving workshops. Because she genuinely loves to share her vision and knowledge with others to offer them new perspectives and spark others’ inspiration.

•Finds balance in yoga and through cooking. By stepping out of her head and into her heart and relying on the same senses but in a different way.

•Responsible for the day-to-day and strategic management of the photo and cooking studio, the ideation of stories by making them tangible through visual media, the acquisition of the interior items and their styling and leading the creative workshops.

•Savours get-togethers. To exchange ideas and feed-off other people’s passions. To collectively create something and by that, elevate any qualitative results or effects makes Sarah tick.
